Text Box: Our speaker for Friday July 3 will be debut novelist Dr. Paul Boor. Dr. Boor, a Professor of Pathology at UTMB, is a recognized poet and now a novelist. The Blood Notes of Peter Mallow is a thrilling page turner. Peter Mallow’s adventures take place in his high level bio-lab and has him hot on the trail of a deadly bird-flu like virus, but the deadliest creatures may well be the scientists themselves. With the Galveston National Laboratory as our neighbor this novel hits disturbingly close to home. This is a fascinating window into the world of biologic research and human behavior.
