Galveston Country Club has a very active tennis group that meets regularly on Fridays from 3-5 p.m. and on Saturdays and Sundays, 8-11 a.m. We extend a warm welcome to all new members who enjoy fun tournament play. This is a wonderful way to meet tennis players at our club.
We play short sets and players rotate so that everyone is on the court as much as possible. All skill levels are welcome and dress is tennis casual. Guests and non-members are welcome for a $5 fee per session. Everyone is invited to share in providing new balls for each session, on a rotating basis.
The Club two courts are located behind the Pro shop. We have three tournaments each year- on The Memorial Day, July Fourth and Labor Day Weekend Saturdays. These events are always well attended; refreshments and fun prizes are provided.
Both courts are available for play at hours when the golf course is open. Members bringing guests should sign them in at the Pro shop and pay the $5 per person guest fee.
